Mission & Philosophy
The Tishomingo County Vocational Center adheres to the principal that all students should have a varied and stimulating environment that is both basic and challenging to the students. Recognizing that students exhibit a wide range of backgrounds, learning capabilities, needs, and interests, the Vocational Center strives to provide an educational program broad enough to provide an atmosphere that will meet some of the physical, personal, and social needs of the students. In this endeavor, it is necessary that, in addition to the skills and knowledge taught at Tishomingo County Vocational Center, the student receive training and instruction in effective time management, hand and eye coordination, cooperation with fellow students, attitudes, good work habits, and leadership skills. This will be accomplished with competent instructors, sound curriculums, and club activities designed to compliment the course curriculums.
