TISHOMINGO COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT STATE OF MISSISSIPPI NEW ATTENDANCE LAW EFFECTIVE BEGINNING JULY 1, 2026
We say it often, but we truly mean it — our community and business partners make SUCH a difference in the lives of our students! Whether it's providing work opportunities, donating supplies, sharing their expertise, or simply finding a way to give back, these acts of kindness remind us how fortunate we are to be surrounded by people who care about our young people. Thank you, Wendy, Sandy, and Uptown Chic Boutique for thinking of our students and investing in them in such a thoughtful way! Your generosity means more than you know! 👏💕

🎀💕 A SECRET PINK OUT for Someone Very Special! 💕🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and today we had the BEST time pulling off a special surprise for someone who means so much to our TCCTC family — our wonderful counselor, Mrs. Heather Gaylor! 💗 Our students and staff came together for a SECRET PINK OUT to celebrate a very special milestone — Mrs. Heather's 10 YEARS as a breast cancer survivor! 🎉💪🎀 Heather is so much more than a counselor to our students and staff. She is a friend, an encourager, a listening ear, and someone who pours her heart into helping others every single day. Today, we got to turn the tables and shower HER with a little of the love she so freely gives to everyone around her! While today was filled with pink shirts, smiles, and lots of love, we also want to remember the important message behind Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection saves lives! Staying informed about your personal risk, discussing recommended screenings with your healthcare provider, and paying attention to changes in your body are important steps toward protecting your health. 🎀 To those currently fighting, those who have survived, those we have lost, and the families who have walked alongside them — we honor you this month and always. Mrs. Heather, we LOVE you, we CELEBRATE you, and we are so incredibly thankful for these 10 years and many more to come! 💕🎉 #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #10YearSurvivor #SecretPinkOut #TCCTC #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #ThinkPink

Learning Today, Teaching Tomorrow! 📚🍎 Our Ed Prep II students are gaining valuable, hands-on experience in the classroom! Earlier this month our students began their field experiences, where each student is paired with a mentor teacher for the school year. One day each week, our future educators spend time in their assigned elementary classrooms, observing experienced teachers, interacting with students, and learning firsthand what it takes to become an effective teacher. Our students are placed at Burnsville Elementary and Belmont Elementary, giving them the opportunity to learn and grow in real classroom settings throughout the school year. We are so thankful to both schools and our wonderful mentor teachers for welcoming our students and helping the next generation of educators! 🍎✨ #TCCTC #Educator Preparation #Future Educators #HandsOnLearning

🍽️❤️💙 OUR FIRST CULINARY CORNER CAFE MEAL! 💙❤️🍽️ Today was a BIG day for our Culinary Arts students! We served our very first meal to our teachers through the Culinary Corner Cafe, and we could not be more proud of our students! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 From prepping ingredients to preparing, packaging, and serving the meals, our students worked hard and did an AMAZING job! They put the skills they’ve been learning in the kitchen into action, worked through the process, and took pride in what they were serving. This is exactly what hands-on learning is all about! ❤️ Watching our students take something we have planned and practiced in class and turn it into a real café experience for our teachers was such a proud teacher moment. A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our teachers and staff who supported our first sale and enjoyed a meal from Culinary Corner Cafe! We are just getting started, and we are so excited to see where our students take this! 👩‍🍳🔥 Way to go, Culinary Arts students! We are SO proud of you! ❤️💙 #CulinaryCornerCafe #TCCTC #CulinaryArts #ProudTeacher #StudentSuccess #HandsOnLearning #FutureChefs #SchoolCafe #SupportOurStudents

🏈❤️💙 It’s Game Day in Tishomingo County! 💙❤️🏈 Tonight, our two high schools will meet on the football field as Belmont High School takes on Tishomingo County High School! Here at the Career & Technical Center, we have the privilege of teaching students from both sides of the field, so when these two teams meet, you might say our faculty has a hard time choosing sides! 😉 As you can see, we’re ready to support BOTH of our teams tonight! To the players, coaches, cheerleaders, bands, families, and fans — we hope you have a great game, play hard, stay safe, and represent your schools with pride! Tonight we may be divided by school colors, but we’re always ONE Tishomingo County community! 🏈🙌 Good luck, Belmont Cardinals and Tishomingo County Braves! ❤️💙
